When you open the card page from the list, the card page is automatically in edit mode and you can start editing the information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: You switch to view mode by clicking (disabling) the Edit<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>button in the ribbon of the card page.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/triangle.desarrollobirdcom.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Modo-editar-Business-Central-1.jpg\" alt=\"Modo editar - Business Central\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_and_Delete\"><\/span>New and Delete<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can insert new records from both list and card pages by clicking New. You can delete records from a list by selecting the line, clicking the assist edit and then selecting Delete.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.triangle.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Borrar-l%C3%ADnea-Business-Central.jpg\" alt=\"Borrar l\u00c3\u00adnea - Business Central\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can also delete a record from its card page by clicking Delete from the ribbon.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.triangle.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Borar-informaci%C3%B3n-Business-Central.jpg\" alt=\"Borrar informaci\u00c3\u00b3n - Business Central\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The way to add and edit information in fields depends on the type of field.<\/p>\n<h2 data-bi-id=\"7-id-H2\" data-bi-name=\"14-7-layer-H2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Field_Types\"><\/span>Field Types<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-bi-id=\"8-id-P\" data-bi-name=\"14-8-layer-P\">When you enter information into fields, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central provides the format for the type of information that you enter in the following types of fields:<\/p>\n<ul data-bi-id=\"9-id-UL\" data-bi-name=\"14-9-layer-UL\">\n<li data-bi-id=\"1-id-LI\" data-bi-name=\"15-1-layer-LI\"><strong>Date fields<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; accept only date parameters.<\/li>\n<li data-bi-id=\"2-id-LI\" data-bi-name=\"15-2-layer-LI\"><strong>Number fields<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; accept only numbers.<\/li>\n<li data-bi-id=\"3-id-LI\" data-bi-name=\"15-3-layer-LI\"><strong>Text fields<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; accept information in any format.<\/li>\n<li data-bi-id=\"4-id-LI\" data-bi-name=\"15-4-layer-LI\"><strong>Code fields<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 accept only predefined codes<\/li>\n<li data-bi-id=\"5-id-LI\" data-bi-name=\"15-5-layer-LI\"><strong>Calculated fields<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 display amounts and quantities calculated by Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, for example the Balance field for G\/L Accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-bi-id=\"10-id-H2\" data-bi-name=\"14-10-layer-H2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Enter_Dates\"><\/span>Enter Dates<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-bi-id=\"11-id-P\" data-bi-name=\"14-11-layer-P\">Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central provides flexibility when you enter dates. 12.<\/p>\n<p data-bi-id=\"8-id-P\" data-bi-name=\"13-8-layer-P\">The four basic mathematical operators are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul data-bi-id=\"9-id-UL\" data-bi-name=\"13-9-layer-UL\">\n<li data-bi-id=\"1-id-LI\" data-bi-name=\"14-1-layer-LI\">+ (plus)<\/li>\n<li data-bi-id=\"2-id-LI\" data-bi-name=\"14-2-layer-LI\">&#8211; (minus)<\/li>\n<li data-bi-id=\"3-id-LI\" data-bi-name=\"14-3-layer-LI\">*(multiply)<\/li>\n<li data-bi-id=\"4-id-LI\" data-bi-name=\"14-4-layer-LI\">\/ (divide)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-bi-id=\"10-id-P\" data-bi-name=\"13-10-layer-P\"><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0The calculated amount, but not the formula, is stored in the field.<\/p>\n<h2 data-bi-id=\"11-id-H2\" data-bi-name=\"13-11-layer-H2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Enter_Codes\"><\/span>Enter Codes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-bi-id=\"12-id-P\" data-bi-name=\"13-12-layer-P\">A code identifies a record such as a vendor number or customer number. Codes are also values that are used for sorting information on the screen and in reports.<\/p>\n<p data-bi-id=\"13-id-P\" data-bi-name=\"13-13-layer-P\">Numbers and letters can be used to identify codes. When you must enter a code in a field, you can<strong> look up the value to select from the list of codes related to the field<\/strong>. Instead of selecting a code, <strong>you can also type it in the field. In that case, you only have to enter the first letter(s) in the code name<\/strong>. For example, type &#8220;y&#8221; for YELLOW.<\/p>\n<h2 data-bi-id=\"14-id-H2\" data-bi-name=\"13-14-layer-H2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Calculated_Fields\"><\/span>Calculated Fields<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-bi-id=\"15-id-P\" data-bi-name=\"13-15-layer-P\">Calculated Fields display amounts and quantities calculated by Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, for example the Balance field for G\/L Accounts. By clicking the value of the FlowField, you can open a separate page. For example, when you click the Balance FlowField on a G\/L account, the General Ledger Entries page opens. It shows the entries included in the calculation.<\/p>\n<p data-bi-id=\"16-id-P\" data-bi-name=\"13-16-layer-P\">The contents of FlowFields are calculated every time that they are displayed.
